About this event

“WHEN THERE’S A WHY, WHAT AND HOW LISTEN.”– Sinek. As school academics in a game and training model, playing chess and being smart are interconnected. Chess teaches higher level thinking skills such as visualization, analysis and critical thinking. Clothed with a ‘commander’ self-image amidst a ‘friends-learning-together’ classroom setting, kids get trained in life-skills goal-setting: checkmate! Open to kids, 8-13 yrs old; anyone proficient with tactics – pins, forks – and advanced strategies. Chess folder kit included for new students. No class May 16 and June 6.
