Josh + Bex are a Canadian Dream Folk duo from the Okanagan Valley of BC. Their spellbinding harmonies and honed yet rustic sound, meet at the intersection of hope and sorrow – giving space to let their songs explore light, love, pain, connection and the wondrous realm of the human experience. Close your eyes and think Tim Burton meets Fleetwood Mac, while you drift away into their haunting, yet soothing and familiar dreamscape.Josh and Bex bring a unique intersection of east and west coast in their warm onstage banter, performance and songwriting. Josh engages the audience, influenced by a long-standing lineage of song-smithing, while Bex, approaches the audience with a fresh and contemporary aptitude. Together they have woven their flawlessly blended harmonies into their mindful and dynamic performance--presenting a juxtaposition of pin-drop moments with explosions of heart-felt intensity.In 2023, Josh + Bex received Bronze in Best of Kelowna "Best Local Band" (Kelowna Now), giving them wide recognition throughout the Okanagan Valley and beyond. The duo have performed at the internationally acclaimed Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival, after winning the local Emerging Artist contest in 2019. Most recently, they shared the stage with Bahama’s and The Paper Kites at Red Bird’s Nest Fest ‘23. Additionally, they had the opportunity to warm the stage for Moontrick’s and Miina (formally Carmanah) at the Jasper Folk Music Festival in September ‘23.Josh + Bex released their self-titled EP in October 2019 and have recently followed up with their sophomore record, Everything is Everything, May 20th, 2022.
