Floyd Ives - Canadian Tour '26
Doors at 8:30 PM, Show at 9 PM Tickets: CAD $15 ADV | $20 DOOR Available on Sairyo Show Description Floyd Ives is an Australian singer-songwriter visiting Canada for the first time, on a grassroots pub tour. Floyd plays wry and heartfelt acoustic ballads, and has been described as “Ed Sheeran from the 1970’s”, “David Byrnes Australian cousin”, and “Wes Anderson if he played guitar”. He is supported by two fantastic artists: Ayola, an Afrosoul singer-songwriter from Nigeria, whose music lives at the intersection of reflection and raw storytelling. Josh Dimonte, who pairs fingerstyle guitar playing with thoughtful lyrics delivered by a tenor voice. Performer Bios: Floyd Ives: Hailing from sunny Sydney Australia, Floyd Ives is bringing the warmth with him to Canada this summer. A wry performer with a penchant for acoustic indie, Floyd is climbing out of the boot and into the driver’s seat of Canada’s folk-revival. So book the babysitter, pack a bottle of sherry and mosey on down to the Art House to catch Floyd at his most indelible! Ayola: I am Ayola, an Afrosoul singer-songwriter from Nigeria. My music lives at the intersection of reflection and raw storytelling. For a long time I was an indoor writer. Now I carry my songs into rooms and cities, letting live performance shape the art as much as the studio does. Josh Dimonte: Josh Dimonte is a singer songwriter from Ottawa. His songs pair fingerstyle guitar playing with thoughtful lyrics delivered by a tenor voice. Over the past year he's become a regular in the local music scene, playing his own shows and open mics. If you enjoy a folk vibe and expressive songwriting, his shows are for you.
