ART HANG

Begins 7PM; End 9PM Show Description Have you started a project you just can’t seem to put the time aside to finish? Is there a creative spark in your mind you need to release? Do you find it hard to make the time to be playful creatively and just MAKE something? ART HANG might be the solution for you! This event is for creatives of all levels who might benefit from a communal space set with the intention to create. Come toil away at the embroidery project you’ve been meaning to finish, get that collage started that you can see so clearly in your mind, or zone out while you doodle and colour to the chill vibes of live instrumental music. 🎵 This session of ART HANG will welcome the ambient sounds of Ottawa based musicians @jackhuilitster and @chrispondmusic. Jack Litster is a film composer who has scored over 30 films and composed music for operas, dance companies and choirs. His music seamlessly creates soundscapes blending the sounds of natural ecosystems with electronic and acoustic instruments. Chris Pond was transported from another dimension seemingly out of nowhere. Some speculate him to be an alien of sorts, while others think he’s likely to be a time traveler. Regardless of his origins, the harmonies, melodies and textures he creates conjure emotionally driven and atmospheric images which swoon listeners into a state of timeless existence. ✏️ With your creative tools in hand, join us at ART HANG as these talented musicians set the mood for a creative flow state. If the event has not sold out online, there will be tickets available at the counter. Your ticket guarantees you a seat in the house but not necessarily a seat with a direct line of sight to the performers. Ticket refunds or date transfers are not available. IMPORTANT ACCESSIBILITY INFO We provide gender-neutral washrooms. We have one wheelchair accessible washroom. There is no wheelchair ramp. There is a set of 8 stairs to get into the building (7 steps, small landing, and then an 8th step). Once inside, the whole cafe floor is flat, with the exception of our small room to the side, which is a small step down. We are licensed to provide alcohol, but serve a variety of non-alcoholic options. This event takes place on the traditional unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin People.
