About this event
Aquatic Emergency Care (AEC) is designed to prepare candidates to respond to first aid emergencies in aquatic environments. AEC bridges the gap in skills between Standard First Aid and National Lifeguard to prepare candidates for success in the National Lifeguard awards and employment. The Lifesaving Society recommends that candidates complete the AEC course prior to the start of their National Lifeguard course. Prerequisites: 15 years old by last day of course, Bronze Cross, and Standard First Aid with CPR-C. Bronze Cross and Standard First Aid do not need to be current.
