This class provides a comprehensive introduction to the foundations of painting, designed for beginners and those looking to strengthen their skills. Participants will explore a variety of painting techniques including brushwork, layering, and blending, while developing an understanding of composition, colour theory, contrast, light and shadow, and form. Lessons will be enriched with discussions of key moments in art history, connecting practice with context and inspiration.
